Everyone wants to know your birth story right? Aside from how it happened, the birds and bees' of course. The journey, the ups downs and everything in between. So, lets start at the beginning and how I found out I was PREGNANT!

Jan-April
Prepping for the wedding meant going to the gym everyday at 3:45am for my 4am class. I had spent the last 5 months not only working out and shedding for the wedding but I managed to become apart of this fit family that I never knew was possible. They were there with me every morning, pushed me, and found success along with me.
MAY
Following my wedding I took a couple weeks off before jumping back in the game. I was bound determined that my best friend, Mollie, needed to join. I raved about this place... like everyday. I'm sure at some point she was like OMG shut up, fine I'll go. Mostly so I quit bugging her about it. So that day, we rolled in. I thought I was pretty cool, not gonna lie. I introduced her to my fit fam and I'm sure she was already annoyed. I mean the amount of energy I portrayed at 4am was probably exhausting itself without even starting the workout. LOL.
As we began the workout, I kept telling her.... don't worry its not usually this hot in here. Something must be off (as if I was still selling the place). She kept giving me these looks like I was insane... finally I asked her - "Wait, do you not think it's hot in here" (Hot in, Hot in, Hot in herrrr - Sorry) She looked at me - "um, NO" well.... CRAP

It wasn't long into the cardio macro and I was headed to the good ole ladies room - still blaming the heat. By the way, let me tell you. You do NOT want to throw up in a GYM BATHROOM - quite possibly as worse as throwing up in the Union Station bar in Iowa City (insight from a friend)- okay not THAT bad, but comparable.
Every time I surfaced from the bathroom, I was getting these eyebrow raises and smiles from my fit family. WHAT WERE THEY DOING? It was then when my lovely trainer and fellow fit sister said the words "HA, Bet your Pregnant"
WAIT
WHAT
NO
WAIT...MAYBE?
NO
After the 4th time coming back from the bathroom and being the talk of the class, Mollie said we could leave. I felt terrible. Not only did I make her get up in the middle of the night to come to a gym and WORKOUT, but then I made her leave mid-workout. Cool.
(Thankfully she is still much apart of our lives and our story)
The entire way home I think I told her I wasn't pregnant near 100 times,
When I got home I rushed upstairs to take a test - apparently all 26/27 year old females have spare tests laying around. Of course, I didn't have to pee so that was awesome. I sat there for probably 7 min talking myself into it. Finally - it happened. I set the test up on the sink and I waited... and waited... and finally I was like ugh. I'm going to get ready for work. Before leaving the bathroom I looked and the test had a line. PHEW! Not pregnant. Well....SO I THOUGHT.
Before leaving for work, I went in the bathroom to shut the light off and check the test one more time for good measure. I checked the test - and AUTOMAGICALLY there was another line. Yep another line. That means (pulling out the instructions from the box as if I don't know what that second line means) PREGNANT. I AM PREGNANT. WE ARE PREGNANT! I had this emotion come over me, one that I had before. Dustin and I had a miscarriage that same year in Feb. But this feeling, this was different. While there was a sense of panic, there was a sense of happiness and relief.
Now I know it wasn't the heat at the gym and WE WERE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!
Crap - How am I going to tell Russell?
Stay tuned - That story will be next.
Love Always -
Jessica
